1:43 am - It has happened

Last night while I was studying for exams next week (I hope I pass, I hope I pass, I hope I pass) I decided to load mmo-crack(aka WoW) onto my computer. I'm not even going to think about touching it until after exams. I have no idea what to be(race/class), where to be(realm/server), or who to align myself with. Maybe some of my friends who play WoW can give me suggestions(hint hint nudge nudge).
That is all, back to studying.

12:42 pm - Quick life update
|
I did MetroCon again this year. I was a invisible from Kingdom Hearts. I kicked major ass, too bad I can't say the same about my costume. I missed all of the friday night events because I was working on my costume until 1am. The rest of the con was a blast but I was running around so much that I didn't get to spend much time with my girlfriend. The cast party last week was fun, I just wish I could have gotten to it a bit sooner but work got in the way of that. Work is also the reason I won't be able to go to AFO this weekend.
I have been officially sick of my job for more than a year now but haven't been truly serious about finding a new job because it gave me the flexibility to do Howl-O-Scream, Bay Area Renaissance Festival, and MetroCon. Since Metro I've realized that doing other stuff is the only thing that got me through the weeks. Now going to work just sucks and I can't ask for any weekends off because we became really short handed in the deli back in June and between BARF and Metro I either had Saturdays off or both Saturday and Sunday off since the last weekend of december. At least now I have time to look for a better job.
In other news, I was accepted into the Respiratory Care program at St Petersburg College with a guaranteed spot into the class starting Aug '09 and an alternate for Aug '08. Last week I got a call saying that a spot had opened up in this fall's class and now I'm started my new degree in a little more than a week. My schedule for this semester is:
Monday-9:00am 11:50am- Fundamentals of Respiratory Care
Wednesday-9:00am 11:50am- Respiratory Pharmacology
Thursday-7:00 1:00pm- Clinical Practice I
I would have chosen a better time for my clinical time but this late I had to take what I could get. At least I'm getting to go back to school a year earlier than i thought I would. Now I just need to get money together for my tuition and books.
In a loosely related note. When my brother was still taking classes my parents made a deal with him that if he finished a degree they would buy him a laptop and to be fair, any deal they made with one of us, went for the other one. I reminded them of that agreement a few weeks before I graduated with a hospitality degree. Now after two month of searching and comparing, on monday I received my new Dell laptop which I'm making this post from right now. It's an Inspiron 1525 with:

Intel Core2 Duo
2mb cache
3gm DDR2 ram
14.1" Glossy XGA widescreen display
Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
and a lot more specs that at this point I'm too tired to list. I know it's not the most powerful machine out there but it was $600 on sale at Best Buy and I'm mainly planning to use it for school anyways. Now I just need to figure out what programs I need for the laptop.
So much for a quick update. Well I'm going to bed now because the girlfriend is coming over in the morning and we're going spend the day together and do stuff. Every-time I say or think "do stuff" now, in my head runs,"MetroCon, We do stuff" -cue cheesy Link thumbs up pose- and I take on some tasks now with the mind set of AGGRESSIVE SAMURAI!!!! Damn you Jonnie. Why does everyone want a to go one on one with whatever crazy thing I am each year in the chess match? I hope everyone has fun at AFO this weekend.

Like zombies? Like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show?" Like bikinis?
Then this is the place to be! The cast of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is hosting ZOMBIE BEACH NIGHT at The Beach Theatre this Saturday night! They will still play the movie and perform to it, but as zombies and in beach attire!

12:38 pm - Just an update

Yes I am alive. But I'm getting over being sick for the last week.
Still working at sweetbay but in the process of finding another job. Applied for a job at a nearby medical facility, had an initial interview, now just calling each week to get an update on the position. I really want this job.
Not taking any classes again this semester because that aren't really any more classes for me to take. Wasn't accepted to St. Petersburg College's Radiography program, now just waiting for a response from Manatee Community College about their Radiography program.
If you go to Bay Area Renaissance Festival this year look for Finny. That would be me. I managed to get a part and been spending my Saturdays going from rehearsals to work then going to Rocky Horror Picture Show that night.
I plan to audition for MetroCon chess match again this year. I don't know what roles I'm going to try for. I'll probably just do my best and let them decide what I'd be best for. Audition dates and times are as follows for those who want to go but don't have the details:
All auditions are being held at MOSI in tampa.
February 9th at 9am and 2pm (Saturday)
February 17th at 9am and 2pm (Sunday)
Orientation starts promptly at 9 and 2, and is mandatory so don't be late or you WILL be held over to the next audition that day.
Other than that life has been pretty boring. there have been numerous times I am thought of something to post while at work just for have forgotten it by the time I get home. I do miss my chess match family and do read alot of your posts just been dealing with some stuff that has kept me busy. I hope to make it to the training day on sunday if I don't have to work.

I going to try again at post more regularly. For the time being they will probably be in bullet point looking style unless I have stuff to say about whatever I'm posting.
Last week I realized that up until a couple of weeks ago I've been running from one thing to another seven days a week since chess match rehearsals started mid March. If I wasn't working at Sweetbay(I'm beginning to hate that place and need to find another job that pays better, preferably in the field I'm going to school for), I'm working at Disney. If I'm not at Disney, I'm was at chess rehearsals. when chess rehearsals ended my week was split between Disney and Sweetbay. I finished with Disney for the summer then got hired for Howl-O-Scream. I've finally have real days off and I don't know what to do with myself. *end of thought. NEXT SUBJECT* (anyone who has read my posts in the past might notice I tend to be a little ADD in terms of subject changes)
I think I'll just go over what I've done this past week :
Sunday- Worked Sweetbay 3-9p like I do every week. I do Rocky Horror Picture Show in St.Pete Beach every week and my manager knows this and thus has been VERY cool about it and schedules me to come in late on Sundays. I found out she used to be a Magenta back in the day.
Monday- Had a appointment at the dermatologist where they cut off a mole on my foot and sent it out for tests. We believe it's nothing but rather be safe then sorry. Wish I had had the day off to let the wound breath and heal but I had to go to work shortly after the appointment. That sucked and ate up the rest of my day.
Tuesday- Worked. that was about it.
Wednesday- I had the day off and spent most of it dealing with school stuff. That night a friend of mine took me to Swing Dancing. Well I drove her there but I still consider it her taking me because she had been there before and I hadn't. They have a lesson from 7 to 8 for free then the actual dance is from 8 to 11 and costs $7. Toward the end of the lesson I see Dee walk in and she saw me a minute later but we waited for the lesson to end before running over to each other. Apparently she has been going when she can for that last two years. She pulled me onto the dance floor a couple of times but I wasn't complaining. I had fun but I came to realize I suck at it(I think I need one-on-one instruction if I want to be any good.
Thursday- Had to work 11 to 5. The store died around 2:30. Then went over to my aunt's house to join my parents and rest of the extended family on my dad's side for Thanksgiving. Good food, good family, really good pumpkin pie. My uncle has been a baker for 20+ years and make a damn good pumpkin pie and I'm infamous for eating at least half of one which is why he makes two of them.
Friday- Scheduled 11 to 7 at Sweetbay. Woke up at 11:15. Couldn't wait for that shift to be over because (quick back-story: My Rocky cast takes the weekends of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years off.) the cast was going camping for the weekend. Finally got off work, changed, loaded my car, and headed for my brother's place to pick up stuff he had forgotten before heading up. I hit the road for Inverness just after 10p from St.Petersburg and got there just before midnight. Ended up talking around the fire with one of the guys on cast just me and him and didn't go to sleep until after 6a.
Saturday- Camping was definitely fun and included an Uno game that took me about 15 minutes to win and more than an hour and a half before someone won second place. I pulled out my whip and taught someone how to use it just to find out the other five people were still on the same game. That s#%t was bananas. There was 20+ people there and a bonfire made in a 3ft wide fire pit that was dug out about 3feet deep which ended up being level with the ground by with wood coal after about four hours.
Sunday- Had to break down my tent and be on the road for home by 12:30 to be a work by 3. Taught one of the gay guys, Twink, (Liz/Sailor Moon size) how to use an eight foot bullwhip and he was cracking it like Joan/Akane before I left. Work was boring and dead but at least I didn't have to do dishes because I had cut my hand open splitting wood. (it wasn't bad, just needed a couple of bandages.
And that was my week. I considering it a good week overall. This week I have Today and Tomorrow off. Apparently one of the chess people announced on the MetroCon forums he was hosting an optional training day at his house this past Saturday but I never knew about it because I don't check the forums,*shakes fist of fury at him* and he is doing it again this Saturday but I have work at 12:30. *more fist shaking*(and you can pass that on to him >:P) I plan on lounging around the house today and let my foot breath and dry out. Since i have Tuesday off I plan of going to that thing in Tampa next to Lowry Park that James, Megan, Chris, and several others do that I can't remember how its spelled. I went to it two weeks ago on Sunday and Tuesday but couldn't make it out last week. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Fair warning. I will likely be post a lot more on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays since I have nothing else to do but sit in Epcot's Learning Center on a computer. There will likely be no order, flow, rhyme, or reason to it just whatever i think of during the hours I'm here.
Ever have the perfect words in your head but when you go to put them down they're gone? I just did with the original first line on this post.
5:30pm- Roast beef sub from Walmart was good after I went by Arby's and put Arby, three pepper, and horsey sauces on it. Sleeping Beauty is playing on the TV. 814 unread messages to go in Yahoo Mail.
7:05pm- Finally reached Feburary in the emails. 747 messages togo. Snow White started about 20 minutes ago. Haven't seen that movie in a LONG time. Started catching up on SomethingPositive.net, god I love randy's sense of story telling.
7:30p-So many email ads saying "reserve your copy of _______" of things that have now been out for months and contests long since over. Snow Queen just turned into a hag.
7:55p- Snow eat the apple and is now dead. 646 to go (dated Feb 12th). Some of these messages are going faster than others. Queen died two minutes later. Dwarves are crying over their dead domestic slave. So many drug ads.
8:00p- The Price(angel) just took the 13 year old(Snow White off to the castle(heaven). Mulan is next
Warned you it was going to be random and whatever popped into my head or around me.
8:15p- Down to 596 messages. bordom is getting worse. I'm going to Test Track to look at the cars then I might head over to Colonial Promenade 6 movie theater for see either Evan Almighty at 9:50p or Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer at 10:05p.
On second thought I'll try to catch the 4p showings tomorrow after work. Is anyone wants to join me, call my cell or meet me there:

9:44 pm - 300 down, 800+ to go T-T

Due to the schedule I've been running on for the last year I've fallen behind on my email accounts. Since I have nothing to do when not working while in orlando I decided to go through all the unread messages. Fortunately one of the computer lab at disney is open until 10:30p. I've been at it for two days now and only read 300 messages so far. Restricted internet access sucks.
Went to AFO last weekend.
Checkers match was a "interesting". For the most part the con was ok. Best part was getting to see some of the chess cast again. I brought a couple of costumes but ended up not wearing them. Crashed in Roy's room. Met Jason David Frank and attended one of his classes. It was a large group so we didn't get to cover too much stuff. There was a formal ball that wasn't announced until after I drove up to disney, otherwise I would have brought formal wear for it.
Learned who to play ZOMBIE. Best game ever. Wish I could have stayed longer but I wanted to attend a panel with one of the other chess cast.
The computer lab is closing soon. more to come later.

5:45 pm - Why do I cry?

I've nearly broken down a dozen time since I we parted. I miss them so dearly and it hasn't even been 24 hours since I said my last good bye. I feel the tears coming with every message i read.
I still have my blue wrist band on. I will have to take it off eventually but I know it's going to lead to more tears. I'm normally not like this. I usually keep everyone at arms distance and don't let people in my bubble but these people got in, don't even set off my guard, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
As soon as I got into my car to give James a ride home there was a strong feeling that I had forgotten or something missed/out of place. It happened again just after I dropped him off.
Last year, by June, I had made a few new friends and several more acquaintances. This year i walk away with 50 brothers and sisters, 2 uncles, and countless memories that will stay with me for as long as my mind holds out.
I know I may be jumping from one thought to another but long coherent writing with smooth transfer from topic to topic isn't possible for me. I've been at this for an hours and I just can't seem to to find the words to justify what you mean to me.

1:59 am - Izzy update

So freaking tired. just got home from Wal*mart.
Season 1
- shorts (or as close as I can get at this point),
- shoes(just need to paint them)
- paint for the shoes,
- socks(just need to make them light green),
- purchased tentomon on ebay(still waiting for him to arrive)
- gloves(just need to add some yellow to the cuff)
Need to find a pineapple sticker for my "digianalizer"
going to talk to a someone about possibly making the shirt (though saw a shirt at walmart i can use as a backup)
Season 2
- Jacket
- Tie
- shirt
- shoes(need to paint them)
- paint for the shoes
Saw lots of gray pants. all have been either wrong shade or wouldn't fit me(waist and/or length)
At this point, unless someone can find me a wig or is willing to try to color and style my hair(would pay them back for materials), Izzy is going to have light brown hair.
Very tired, long day in the morning, that is all.
